Good Condition Takamine T-1, in a nice tobacco burst, dreadnaught. Interesting guitar, appears to be a made in Japan for Japan market, spruce top and mahogany back and sides, all laminate. Bridge is firmly set, no lifting, no bellying. Saddle cavity was enlarged at some point, I think for saddle upgrade, which is bone. Nice “Tor-Tis” upgraded pickguard. Two noticeable dings on top, both have been filled with laquer stick. Back has scuffs and scratches from use, not abuse. Nice straight neck, frets show signs of use, plenty of life left. No-name tuners are replacements, with holes from old tuners filled. No cracks. Action is shown, and is about 3/32″ on Low E at 12th fret, nut is 1 11/16″, nicely playable with good sound. I was told this was a 2002 model, by the way, the serial number (see pic) does not conform to the format listed in all the books and web sites. Includes an inexpensive gig bag.

Very good condition Vantage acoustic guitar, made by Matsumoku in 1982. Spruce top, appears to be maple back and sides. Top, back and sides are in very good condition: one small ding in top near bottom bout binding, I tried to picture it; and a little bit of scratching on the back, normal wear. Interesting oval sound hole. Top has not bellied, ebony (or ebonized?) bridge firmly attached, not lifting. Rosewood fretboard, straight neck with excellent, low action, no buzzing. Frets show little wear. Head stock in nice condition, a little bit bumped on top. Original Vantage tuners hold tune fine, turn easily. Original chipboard case, fuzzy blue interior, handle, hinges all fine. Comes with a couple stickers on top. This guitar plays easily and sounds good.

Picked up an Old Kapa acoustic guitar made in Japan, ser# 87 Model A-730 Made in Japan , Very well built instrument, has open book lawsuit type headstock, lot of info about Kapa guitars on internet, seems they were made in USA , but this one was made in japan , maybe impoted ?. . Looks pretty original , has a solid heel repair , sounds good , neck is fairly flat but action is on high side. , couple dings on front (see pic) . Has very interesting adjustable bridge ,looks original and looks to be brass? I scratched it and it appears to be brass? Epiphone Japan FT-140 Acoustic Guitar. This holy acoustic guitar is not Horrific, in my opinion. I call it Holy because it has a hole in the back, and it looks to me like it was put there on purpose, like somebody had backside jack in mind. Overall though, not bad. Very EASY to play, but intonation is not the greatest. I did keep it hanging by my desk for a while and would grab it when charting out a song for a student. That positioned guitar changed from time to time, and so here she is for your consideration. Again, not horrible, but it is what it is. Vintage but not super collectable. Cool but not so cool to everyone. I don’t have a case for this, but can pack it well. I might can ship for a lower amount if I remove the neck from the guitar before shipping. I WOULD NEVER MAKE A NEGATIVE COMMENT ABOUT THE CURRENT OFFERINGS FROM FMI, BUT I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE JAPANESE GUITARS ARE TRULY BRILLIANT AND FEEL AMAZING TO PLAY.I TRADED SOME TIME AGO WITH A GENTLEMAN WHO PURCHASED IT FOR HIS GRANDDAUGHTER BECAUSE HE HAD A SHELL PINK STRAT IN THE 60′S. SHE HAD THE DEALER ADD A MOTHER OF PEARL FENDER PICKGUARD. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL WHITE GUARD AS WELL. THE GUARD IS AN 11 HOLE WHERE THE OEM IS AN 8 HOLE. SO THERE IT IS. THE GUITAR WENT UNDER THE BED UNTIL JUST RECENTLY. FOR THIS SALE I HAVE ADJUSTED THE TRUSS ROD, CLEANED THE GUITAR FROM LONG TERM STORAGE, AND PUT ON NEW STRINGS. Welcome to this auction for a used, vintage, YAMAHA “FG-150″, acoustic guitar, “Red label Nippon Gakki”. This guitar was superbly crafted in JAPAN, circa 1972, serial number, as best I can tell, is: II24001. As with most “used” items, and in this case a gigging guitar, there are several scars, scratches, dings, and dents, including, but not limited to, cloth scratches; pick scratches; dings shown in the pics (more available if you send your email). Guitar plays great, and has a sound worth 10 times what you can buy it for! Yes, I am going to say it: sounds better than many D 28s I have heard. Remember, you should always expect to setup a guitar to meet your personal specifications, as what I like, may not be what you prefer. There is an old headstock repair. Previous owner said “a drunken bar mail” knocked it over, 5 or 6 years ago. Was repaired then, and remained his gigging acoustic guitar until now. I find no playing issues associated with this repair. It is not terribly noticeable, either. Frets and fret wires are in excellent condition. Bridge may have been reglued at some point in the guitar’s 40 + year history. This is not an unplayed, stuck in the cloest, keepsake. This instrument has been played, and having been played, the sound is alive, full, and beautiful. I know you have to buy on the pictures and description, but the sound is incredible! This auction is for a rare 1970′s Yamaki F-215 12 String Acoustic guitar and was manufactured in Japan. I have listed it as unworking or for parts because the bridge is starting to lift and the wood around it is starting to warp. At the moment it doesn’t affect playing, but it needs to be repaired. It has an adjustable bridge. The action is a little high, but I have not tried to adjust it, so it might be able to be fixed. The neck appears to be straight. This guitar is very clean and has only minor playing wear. There are some stains on the upper bout and a few scratches on the top, but nothing major. The action is quite high, but I have not tried to adjust it, so it might be able to be fixed. The neck is straight and true. All parts seem to be original. It weighs approx. 2.2 kgs and will be well packed and shipped in a cardboard packing box. International buyers are also responsible for any customs duty that must be paid upon delivery. This guitar is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, and without further notice. This Yairi has been dated to a 2006. You will notice in picture 5 a ding that goes through the finish, it shows no indication of getting worse, and does not go into the wood; There are also some minor surface dings on the bass side of the lower bout, they will not photograph, and will not be seen under the players right arm- but is in otherwise excellent condition. . Its set up pretty low as I like to play finger style blues, which this guitar seems voiced for. It loves the blues. I have a set of new Elixer nanoweb lights, with very little play on them. Neck is laser straight. Fantastic tone. Bends strings with EMOTION- great ease, and musicality. Sounds nicely rounded , kind of a growl to it. Finger style and easy strumming will yield a very bold, woody tone. Non-smoker, free of dripping glue or excess in the kerfing. Very well made, and easy to play, and I really can’t get over the beautiful tone. Bone nut and saddle. Feels like an Easy V neck and feels great. However, if you have real big hands like myself, this may not be what you are looking for, I chose to part with this particular guitar because my hands are a little large for the neck. Bring up Youtube and Search Yairi factory Tour and watch how they make these new Yairi’s … Just like the old ones… by hand. Hand carved necks and dovetail neck joints, hand assembled with hot hide glue, just like Martin used to use on those acoustics from the 30′s and 40′s people pay 10′s of thousands for- Because they are still in one piece. It is believed by many Hot hide glue is the ultimate for authentic vintage sound reproduction. Hand shaved bracing, from ultra-light spruce for the most volume and resonance. These are some of the most sought after Martin reproductions on the planet, because they are as arguably as well, if not better made than most Martins are today. Kazuo Yairi is hitting his 90′s, he won’t live forever, and these guitars have grown exponentially in popularity in the last 4-5 years. I believe “Kazuo Era” guitars will be worth some serious money one day, as they are built in very limited quantities, and even less are made under the Alvarez name.
