Washburn Falcon – Wing Series 1980 – Matsumoku Washburn were originally the brand name guitar from the Matsumoku factory Japan . All of the other well sought after makes from that factory were made under licence . Of the Washburn range the Wing Series guitars all named after birds of prey are now the most sought after . Build quality is superb as is everything about the guitar . The Falcon is pretty much top of the range with a wonderful through neck and if I had to equate it with anything then it would be the Yamaha SG2000 of the same era – but a whole lot more comfortable . There were several eminent players of these including Bob Marley . The specification is superb – Selected pre conservation mahogany body – 5 Piece through neck – Through the body stringing – Ebony fretboard with bound edge dot markers – Brass Nut – Brass Saddles – Coil tapped PAF style humbuckers ( lift the volume knobs ) – Metal screened PCB electronics – 9.6 lbs and very comfortable . Couldn’t have designed it better myself . There is a ton of stuff on Google and a very active collectors forum . http://www.g3h.be/wings/falconA.htm Condition is excellent but there are a few in the varnish dimples as you might expect and a couple of small dinks on the back edges. A few of the bright marks in the pictures are camera flash only . There is some fretwear mostly on the lower 5 cowboy frets but nothing that is effecting playing or likely to for a long while . Recent setup and playing as smooth as silk, low and fast with a full set of great Rock all the way to Jazz tones from the coil tapped circuitry . Selling because I set out to collect the whole Wing series but never quite got there and have gone off in a completely new direction – It keeps me off the streets – This even has the original logo’d hardcase .At my asking price any offers would have to be pretty close and dependent on proposed means of payment / collection ..

YAMAHA SG-1000 Black 1998 MIJ Serial #: 8FI1268 Wow! Check out this late 90′s Yamaha SG-1000 folks! MADE IN JAPAN. Black finish w/black pickguard. Ebony fretboard. Serial on the headstock back. February 1998 manufacture. It is a used instrument and it has been played so it does have a few small marks on it here and there of course as to be expected. Bit of camera flash glare and light reflection in the photos. Overall it’s pretty clean and looks quite nice! The neck is straight and in solid condition. Frets and fretboard fine. All of the metal parts, hardware, and pickups are in solid working condition. Long neck tenon and coil tap tone knob push pots of course. Rear pickup push pot replaced and works fine. This guitar is congenial for an effect unit and a loud sound. ?The body is Alder. Weight is 8.3lb. White rust is on the bridge. ?The neck is straight with maple and standard shape. The remainder of the frets are 98%. The strings and the frets don’t have the sound of buzz. ?The pickups selector doesn’t have a noise in 3 position switch. ?This guitar which doesn’t have a noise in a jack and two control pot. A Yamaha ‘Lord Player’ LP-400 Guitar. This is one of the famous Yamaha LP range that were Made in Japan with serial number 310261 and weighs 4.0 kilos.   A quality guitar that is in excellent used condition (see pics) – It has a couple of tiny scratches on the front but is otherwise clean. The back is also clean other than two small dings on the bottom edge. The back of the slim-C profile neck is clean and unmarked as is the headstock. The fretboard is good with the frets showing some minor wear. The original hardware is in excellent order and all working well. The electrics are fine and the pickups are original. Its playing nicely and includes a gigbag. Circa 1988 Made in Japan Yamaha Weddington Classic in the rare metallic red finish with natural back Here we have an amazing vintage, collectible, highly sought after Yamaha Weddington Classic in need of a new home…. This guitar has been on my guitar “bucket” list forever, and finally got to experience it late last year. The reality of the situation is, I only need a couple guitars, and my #1 gets played 99.9% of the time. So the herd must be thinned… Very good to excellent condition. A few bumps here and there. Contact me if you would like any specific pics. – The pickups were custom wound for Yamaha by Dimarzio when the Weddington series was first developed.- The pots (CTS) and caps have been upgraded, as well as the bridge and tailpiece (TonePros).- Pickup mounting rings: The bridge ring is cracked. The neck ring is OK, but I’m not certain it is original.- The OHSC functions perfectly, but is a little rough, including some stickers and insignias glued to it from a previous owner. Most have been removed, but there are still some remaining. – 1-11/16″ nut width, 12″ radius, 24.75″ scale length, Dunlop 6130 frets. Yamaha RGX guitar with HSH pickups — MIJ in the early 90s. AWESOME instrument. Nice, thin neck feels and plays like a dream. Used, but in really great cosmetic shape, with minimum wear on body.
